Catch Up.

Okay I need to try and catch up... so let me think. We will start with last Friday.
On Friday, Savanna had her BFF Layla spend the night. They had fun. We had a "tea party", ate pizza, and watched Shrek 2. This actually went better than I expected. They both slept in Savanna's bed and slept through the night! In the morning, they woke up and were sitting in bed talking. They are super cute together.

On Saturday, we cleaned up pine cones in the yard, went shopping with Aunt Melissa and the girls. Savanna loves her Aunt Lissa. (She also loves Aunt Sara!) She thinks she is as old as her cousins! Oh and Old Navy has some really cute dresses...I got Savanna a few CUTE summer dresses for only $10 and they have cute grown up dresses too! So after shopping, we went home and Savanna took a nap. After nap time we went and visited Nana and Papa Mo.

Sunday - We played around the house. While Savanna was taking a nap, Papa came over to get the old dresser out of Savanna's old room. He wanted so bad to wake her up but I wouldn't let him. So once she woke up we went to visit them once again. We went walking and Nana and Savanna watched the ducks in the pond. Also on Sunday, Scott decided we were going to lay tile in the hall bathroom! Luckily his uncle had a few boxes of extra tile. So on Sunday night the tile project began. I currently only have one bathroom I can use at my house. I am so excited to get this bathroom floor done!

Monday- Yesterday, Savanna went back to daycare and me and Scott went back to work. Scott picked up Savanna from daycare and they got to have daddy and daughter time while I was at school. I started new classes last night- Integrated Marketing Communications and Old Testament. Old Testament is going to be tough! But I will get through it.

This morning, Savanna woke up about 5am. I think the thunder scared her. She put her hand on her chest and said "I scareda thunders". Then she kept saying "I want daddy". So we said "No, No thunder! We are not scared of you!". Then before we left for school she got to stand in the carport and look at the rain. She says " I wanna see ranging" . She even had to put on one of Scott's hat so her ponytail would not get messed up! So thats about all for now.

We had a good weekend this weekend.
Friday night, Savanna and I went to Nana and Papa's house because Sara was in town... actually Sara picked Savanna up from daycare and I just met them there. We then went out to eat at Kristos. Then on Saturday I took Savanna to see a play "A Year with Frog and Toad" at Newstage. Savanna was scared at first, then she liked it, then something weird happened. It was towards the end of the play and Savanna was sitting in my lap. All of a sudden it felt like Savanna had just peed and it was all over me. So we get up and go to the bathroom and her diaper was not very wet and her tights were not wet at all, none of her clothes or shoes were wet...just my pants where she was sitting... I am not sure what happened. Also, when we left she had a weird scratch on her cheek. I wonder if Newstage is haunted.
Then Saturday night Scott and I went on a date night. We were going to go eat at Chilis but it was too busy. So we went to Chick-Fil-A and then went to see Shutter Island. It was pretty good...not scary but good. After that we went and picked up Savanna from Nana's house and went home. On Sunday Savanna and I went to Kroger like we always do. Then, last night Scott and Savanna were going to go to Chuck E. Cheese's so I could have some time to study and they could have a fun night out...well Chuck E. Cheese was way too busy, so they tried Gatti Town...same thing...so they ended up going to Raising Cane's and Walmart. It was strange having the house to myself. I haven't had the house to myself like that in a very long time! Ok thats all for now.

Declutter my house!!!

So I have decided that it is time to get serious about decluttering my house. I have a bad habit of buying stuff all the time and never using it. Also, my husband likes to keep anything and everything. I want to get all of the junk out of my house. I know that once I am done it will make my house seem so much better and it will be much easier to keep clean! My plan is to spend at least 30 minutes a day working on it. It will probably be easier to do without Scott at home since he likes to keep EVERYTHING!!! But I told him that I want him to help....so we will see how that goes. I have been reading some websites on steps to declutter and hopefully I can get serious about it and get it done! I have tons of stuff that I need to go through and can hopefully sell in a garage sale soon...
So that is my plan! Ooh a coworker just brought me a milkshake from chick-fil-a! Thanks Kim!

Hmm there is nothing really interesting going on today. This morning Savanna kept saying "I wanna stay mama" (I want to stay with mama instead of going to school.) It was so sweet... I really wish we could have stayed home. We had fun last weekend with just me and her since her daddy was working. Sara is coming home this weekend so we will go see her at some point and hopefully she will babysit so me and Scott can go on a date night to see Shutter Island.
I am ready for school to be over. Still have another year...this seems to be taking forever. I take final exams in 2 of my classes next Thursday but then have to start 2 more the next Monday....but after that is spring break and my birthday! I am trying to decide on a good restaurant to go eat with the girl's for my bday. Any ideas?
So thats about it. I'm just tired and ready to be at home with my family. Tonight is definitely an order pizza night because I am for sure not cooking!

Monday, February 22, 2010

Well...its Monday again. The weekends always go by way to fast. We had a pretty busy weekend. Scott worked all weekend so it was just me and Savanna Banana. On Saturday we went and had lunch with Granny (Scott's mom), Mamaw (Scott's grandmother), and some other ladies from Scott's family. We went to Pizza Hut because Savanna kept saying she wanted "pizza" for lunch....funny how a little girl who is not even 2 yet gets to make decisions huh? But thats okay - everyone likes pizza. Pizza Hut was ridiculously slow - we were probably there close to 2 hours. I swear they only had one girl working other than the cooks. After lunch we went with Aunt Melissa (Scott's aunt) and her girls to Sams to do a little shopping. Sams actually has very cute kids clothes. I bought a huge thing of toilet paper at Sams thinking we were about to be out...until I put it in my trunk and realize I had bought some the week before at Kroger and forgot to get it out. Oh well, so we are good on toilet paper for a while! After Sams we went to our favorite place - Target, where I always seem to find stuff to buy even though I don't need it. So finally we were done shopping. Savanna and I then went to see Nana and Papa Mo. We had a very busy day on Saturday. Then on Sunday we had a girl's lunch with Alexis and Layla and then went to Walmart - Ridgeland Walmart - which is HORRIBLE! Savanna and Layla rode in the back of the buggy together. They threw a jar of spaghetti sauce on the floor which of course broke. So it was an interesting trip to Walmart.
So that was pretty much our weekend- a lot of shopping. We still haven't gone and gotton the tile for our floors because Scott has been working all the time - but thats okay. Hopefully we can go this week and pick out what we want.
Last night Savanna was trying to think of any excuse she could think of to get out of going to sleep. She said "I want medicine" "I want water" "I want Barney" "I want Barbie" "I gotta go potty"...it just kept on and on... She even decided to take her diaper off herself while she was in bed cause she wanted to go potty ... then she said "I hot" so I put her in a tshirt...Finally about 10 or 10:30 she fell asleep...we originally put her in bed at 8:30! Then this morning she didn't want to wake up! Hopefully tonight she will go to bed easier, but I will be at school so I am sure she will convince her daddy to let her stay up later.

Its Friday!!!!

So... its finally Friday! This has been a long week! Savanna was so sweet this morning.
This was our conversation:
me: Ok you ready to go to school?
Savanna : Stay mama. I want stay mama.
Isn't that sweet! But then I told her she could take Bolt to school and she suddenly wanted to go to school. So once we finally got in the car with her juice and 2 barbies we were on our way to daycare. She was so excited to take her movie into school. The first thing she told the teacher was "watch bolt, i watch bolt". She just loves that movie!
So today I get to leave work early... to take an online CE class... but at least I get to do it at home!
Hopefully we are going to pick out some tile this weekend for my kitchen floors and counters - if Scott isn't working. And we are going to see Shutter Island! So this should be a pretty good weekend - except for all the homework and studying that I need to do. Oh well! Okay thats all for now.

Hair Cut!

I cut my hair all off! I love love love it! Everyone says they like it so far. Scott really likes it he says. He even said he thinks we should go get family pictures made! Savanna didn't seem to really care, when I got to my mom's house and tried to show her my hair all she was concerned about was eating more yogurt. But thats ok!

The weekend

Well today is back to work after a long unexpected 4 day weekend! It is so nice to get a snow day! Most of my Friday and Saturday was spent working on school - Finite - which I am taking online. Crazy, huh? It will be over in April and I will be so glad just to pass... I don't even mind if I don't make an A or B I just want to get out of there!!!! Saturday Papa Mo came by and took Savanna home with him and Nana which was a big help, I actually got to finish my homework earlier than expected.

On Sunday, Savanna and I went to Starkville to see Aunt Sara for her 20th birthday. We rode in the van with Papa Mo, Nana, Mamaw (my grandmother), and Parker. That van is not big enough for that many people. Savanna had her dvd player so we got to listen to Barney most of the way... listening to Barney is much better than listening to a crying almost 2 year old. She did fuss some on the way. It did not go as smoothly as I hoped but we finally got there. Once we got there we met Sara and Tom at Mugshots (which has the best hamburgers ever!). There was a long wait so we went across the street and Savanna played on the steps of the courthouse. This was probably good because it let her run around a little bit. We lost her brown bow somewhere along the way and I am very upset about it. I wish we could keep up with bows better. Anyway, so we had lunch and then went back to Sara's apartment which is on the 4th floor - with no elevator! So we had cake and Sara opened her birthday presents then we left and came home. Sunday night Savanna woke up about 12:30 and did not go back to sleep until 4:30. I stayed up with her for a while because Scott was finishing up painting the kitchen. Then about 3:30 Scott let me go to bed and he stayed up with her till they both fell asleep. Poor thing, he was so sleepy yesterday. Oh and Scott got me a Wii Fit Plus for Valentine's day!!!! That is what I really wanted! So that was our Sunday!

Monday I was off of work. I took off to go shopping. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE shopping! I got all kinds of good stuff including a new table and chairs for my deck! I cannot wait to use my backyard more this summer. So Amy and I went shopping, got my car fixed (it is one of the Camry's with the recall), and had lunch. It was a very nice day. Scott went to work and Savanna went to daycare and I still had to go to school that night!

Today Savanna is having her late Valentine's party at daycare. She got to wear her pajamas to daycare. She picked out her Elmo pajamas and wore her Elmo slippers AND we took her favorite movie - Bolt - to daycare for her to watch. I think she will have a good day today. Tonight I am getting my haircut! Short I think, well shoulder-length. Ok thats enough for now!

Snow!!!

Yesterday it snowed - a lot! The whole family got to stay home for a snow day. We took Savanna outside to play in the snow. She loved it! She says "I wanna walkin snows". It kinda sounds like she is saying I wanna walkin nose. But she had a lot of fun! We just stayed at home yesterday. I worked on Finite homework which I am still doing today. I absolutely hate Finite. I am so ready for this class to be over and hopefully I will pass it so I do not have to do it again! Well we are still in the process of painting the kitchen. I think it will look so great once it is done - whenever that is! Ok back to homework....

Thursday, February 11, 2010

Last night Savanna and I went to Kroger. Savanna is very friendly and has to wave and say hey to just about everyone we see in there. So of course we have to talk to a lot more people - complete strangers. This always makes grocery trips even longer. She will always yell "hey" and wave at them when they are still a good bit away but when they come up to talk to her she gets shy. However, there was a girl with Silly Bands on so she was impressed with that.
It is supposed to snow tonight and tomorrow... I am hoping that class gets cancelled for tonight and work and daycare get cancelled for tomorrow. The only bad thing about that is that Savanna will miss her Valentine's party/wear pajamas to school tomorrow. So we will see...keep your fingers crossed!

Extreme Home Makeover Kitchen Edition has started!!!!

Last night we started painting the kitchen!!!! Yay! I went and picked out paint - guacomole and quaking grass are the colors. However, guacomole did not come out the way it was supposed to but I still like it. Scott and I stayed up till midnight prepping and painting. Then once we are done with the painting we are going to (actually Scott is going to) tile the kitchen floor and counters. This is going to make my kitchen look so much better...especially since it looks so old and outdated now.

When Savanna woke up this morning she said "oooh green, cool mama". So I think she likes it, ha! But she was very concerned about where the chairs were. More painting tonight!

Monday, February 8, 2010

Well last night we watched the Super Bowl! Savanna is now saying "Who Dat". And now we are all back at work and school... Nothing much interesting happening, except we have finally decided what we are going to do to our kitchen! New floors, new countertops, paint! I am so excited! It is going to feel like a whole new house! And we also plan on getting a new stove when we can! I think I will paint the kitchen green...maybe sage green? Hmm.... I think Scott is already getting tired of me talking about it all the time but oh well, I told him this is what I want for my birthday present. I love changing things up around my house. I have also finally gotton around to actually hanging up all kinds of stuff that I have bought for the house! After 2 and a half years in the house we are finally getting somewhere! Yay!!!!!!

Thursday, February 4, 2010

Last night I went out with some friends to Sal and Mookies...which was very good. Then we went to one of my favorite places EVER - TARGET!!!!! I love Target! I have a problem where I buy stuff for Savanna... a lot of stuff. Last night I got her some more books, stickers, a big bottle of bubble bath, and just a bunch of other stuff that she really didn't need. But she will like it all.. So thats pretty much all I have to say. Tonight is a school night and I have a test :(

Wednesday, February 3, 2010

Savanna is such a funny little girl. She has been bossing her baby doll - Macy around this week... She tells her "No no Macy!" and tells her to "Sit down". Poor Macy. But she is also very sweet to her. She even makes sure we buckle her into the high chair (which is Savanna's old high chair that is lowered down). Savanna says "Buck Mama". This means she wants me to buckle up Macy. Also, Savanna LOVES pockets. Today she wore some khaki pants with pockets that are just a little too big for her and when she puts her pants in her pockets it makes her pants come down.... I hope she doesn't pull her pants down all day long today!
Tonight, I am going to dinner with a few friends for a friend's birthday. It should be fun! We are going to a restaurant that we haven't been to in a while.... Thats pretty much all that has been going on... Except for I have a LOT of schoolwork to do and not sure when I am going to do it, but I will figure it out!

The weekend is over :(

We had a pretty good weekend. On Friday we just stayed at home since it was rainy outside. Then on Saturday me, Savanna, and Nana went and met Mamaw at the Art Museum to see a live performence of "Between the Lions". At first Savanna was scared but then once she finally turned around and watched it she loved it! She was laughing and clapping the whole time! I think she was mainly scared of the daddy lion. Probably because before the show her crazy Mamaw kissed the daddy lion and they both shook and I think it freaked Savanna out! We also got to see the Jim Henson exhibit..however, Miss Piggy was not there. Thank goodness Savanna forgot about her because Nana told her she was going to see Miss Piggy. We did get to see Bert and Ernie though! It turned out to be a fun day...then when we got home Scott had hooked up the new Wii! It is so much fun. I think everyone should get one! Today I went looking at new mobile homes with Scott's mom and grandmother. There are really some nice mobile homes out there! I think she is going to get a 6 bedroom one...and of course Savanna will have her very own room there right across from her Granny's room. After I got home,we played the Wii some more. Then I cooked supper and did some homework. I am really ready for the summer already just to have some time off from school.... hopefully it will go by fast (thats what everyone always says at least!) Tomorrow we go back to school and work :( Okay thats all for now!

Friday, January 29, 2010

Almost the weekend!

Yay today is Friday! Tomorrow we get to sleep in, well depending on how late Savanna sleeps. Scott has to work tomorrow so it will just be me and Savanna at home. We will have fun...then in the afternoon we are going to see Between the Lions live!!!! We are very excited about that...well I am, I don't think Savanna has any idea. And my Wii came in today!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!

My Little Helper

Savanna is growing up so fast! She loves to "help" me do everything. We got home from work and daycare yesterday and started cleaning the kitchen. She helps unload the dishwasher by handing me all the forks and spoons. She even likes to hand me plates so we have to be VERY careful with that. So we got the dishwasher unloaded and loaded back up. Then we did some laundry. She sits on the dryer and throws clothes into the washing machine. Then when we are putting clothes in the dryer I will hand her clothes from the washing machine and she will put them in the dryer. She gets so excited and thinks she is such a big girl. She even has her own little broom to sweep with when I sweep the floor. So after we did a little cleaning we cooked supper. She sits on the counter while I cook. She stayed busy by coloring on bills... After she draws something she says "Look Mama!" and I say "ooh pretty baby! What is that?"...her response - "Apple". She loves drawing apples. Then she wants me to draw apples while I am cooking.. so of course I do. Then her daddy came home and she was so excited. She just loves her daddy. So after supper I go to my new office - which I just LOVE and do some homework. When I got done with homework, Scott was giving Savanna a bath and I noticed they had cleaned her room (and it really needed it). So I think we had a pretty good night. I wish I could be at home with them tonight but I have school :( Oh well, I know they will have fun anyway!

Our night

Yesterday after work and after I picked up Savanna from daycare we went and picked up Layla so that her parents could have a nice anniversary dinner. So I took Savanna and Layla to Target (one of our favorite places). We met one of my friends Jennie there. Thank goodness she was there because about halfway through Target I had to seperate Savanna and Layla into different buggys. They weren't really being bad, just kinda wild. So after we left Target we went by Chick-Fil-A to pick up supper. Oh and Tuesday nights kids eat free so I got me, Scott, and both girls dinner for less than $12! So we go back to the house and they eat supper and play for a little while before taking a bath. After their bath they played some more and were doing flips all over the living room! By this time Alexis and JA were there. I think the girls have fun together. They always seem to! Then last night in the middle of the night Savanna woke up. Scott was up with her for a while and she never would go back to sleep so they came and got me. Finally Savanna went back to sleep... and she did not want to wake up this morning! Hopefully she will sleep through the night tonight!

My Family

So this is my first post...going to try this blog thing and see how it goes. My name is Nadia, I am 25 years old, work full time, go to school full time and have a wonderful husband and amazing baby girl. Well she isn't really much of a baby anymore. She will be 2 in May and wow that time went by FAST!

Me- I am currently attending Mississippi College and my major is Marketing. Hopefully I will graduate May 2011 - which is still a long time away! I know, I know, that time will just fly by! I have heard that plenty of times...but right now it does not feel like it is flying by. So hopefully by Savanna's 3rd birthday I will be a college graduate! Yay!!! I am currently an underwriter for flood insurance. Sounds exciting huh? Actually I really do like it! Its great to have a job that you don't mind coming to every day. I love to spend time with my friends and family. I am the oldest of 5 kids - 1 sister and 3 brothers. My parents are great, I am glad they live pretty close by. I have a GREAT group of friends that I am so thankful for. So thats a little bit about me....

Scott- Scott is my wonderful husband who I love so much. The best words to describe Scott- GREAT DADDY ! It is so nice to see your husband and how he interacts with your child. They are so sweet together. He is also an awesome husband. I know he is always there to help me and he is always on my side. We will have been married 5 years on October 22. Actually, we were friends before we started dating. I never imagined that we would end up married, but I am so glad we did! Scott is so supportive of me going back to school and without him I know I couldn't do it.

Savanna- Savanna is our sweet little girl... She will be 2 on May 15th. She is a cutie! She thinks she is grown up. She tends to be sort of bossy - but its so cute. We are trying to get her to stop her little temper tantrums which I guess is just part of the terrible twos (which by the way I found out is from 18 months to 3 years old). She is a daddy's girl for sure! She loves spending time with daddy and mama, getting her toenails painted, watching Barney, Elmo, and Bolt, and playing with her blocks, barbies, and kitchen that Santa brought her. She loves her uncles (my brothers) Patrick and Parker. She also likes to boss her Aunt Sara around. Her best friend is Layla - they are so cute together! And she is so smart - and I really think she is, not just because I am her mama.

Well that's a little bit about us. I am not really sure what to write about on here so I guess this is it for now!
